At last here it is, "I looked for a practical affordable design that would also cope for the larger 1/5th to 1/4 scale models and the larger ARTF's" - versatile light weight easy to carry and quick to assemble... 'Large Model Stand' - commonly referred to as "StuStand". Made from four pieces of 1/4" ply which assemble in two easy steps. The hinged centre piece has two centrally fitted brackets which allow the sides to easily lay up and are retained by the two screw handles. The central fixing location is the key to its strength. The circular cut outs afford a light yet strong design though you don't need me to explain that! The two central hinges allow the unit to fold flat on itself forming three peaces with a built in carry handle, which also allows for repositioning stand even when assembled.
