It's always tempting to dive in and build that long awaited scale project but often without considering the following. Large models are stable to fly, petrol engines are so much more reliable than glow, certainly cheaper to run. Absolutely, but flying a large model is very different from your average .60 - .90 glow. The dynamics speed across ground and orientation are totally different. New perspectives have to be learnt. Then the landings especially with flaps. You are learning over, you might think this all sounds dramatic but wait until you fly that 1/5th & 1/4 scale ww2 project you've spent hours on. Don't kid yourself and take the time to perfect all of the above with this Farmhand. I use it to keep refreshed following long poor weather fronts! In Addition It's also a great platform for breaking in that new engine, far better flying it than watching the engine run on a bench or fiddling with in your project!
